Process Engineer: Paper - $85K+

Process Engineer and technical resource for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Maintain and improve processes throughout the plant by troubleshooting problems effecting production and by replacing, modifying or creating processes to achieve a production increase or to reduce operating costs. Provide support to the maintenance and manufacturing teams to ensure that the process control systems are maintained to specification. Program distributed control system. Investigate new technologies and their application and their effectiveness within the process. Manage capital projects for process improvements, manage the day-to-day operations of the PLC systems, identify and implement process equipment and/or operation changes and train plant personnel on new or modified equipment and process control systems.
Lead Continuous Improvement for the plant. Utilize Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Become Continuous Improvement Leader and Black Belt. Make data based decisions using statistical analysis. Included in the job responsibility is the role of Environmental coordinator – complete regulatory requirements, reports and oversee environmental program for the facility. Train employees as required by federal and statement environmental law.

- Provide leadership and technological expertise to achieve Corporate project objectives within manufacturing and vendor environments.
- Directs major equipment overhauls and audits.
- Conducts training sessions for line supervisors and mechanics on equipment operation and set up.
- Works with OEM suppliers and/or component vendors to specify, develop, and debug new products, production equipment and manufacturing lines as required to produce products that meet or exceed customer performance requirements.
- Contributes to design and modification of complex tooling required to produce new and innovative products.
- Conducts equipment buyoffs to insure capability, efficiencies, and product specifications are met.
- Identifies safety hazards with equipment design and operation at OEM and plant levels.
- Provides technical interface and support to various internal departments as a critical team member to accomplish special project objectives.
